I-CAR is the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair; it is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide appropriate training for the various technical professionals in the industry, including but not limited to non-structural, structural, refinishing, and electrical/mechanical technicians as well as estimators/appraisers. One of our very own shop owners is the Chairman of the Las Vegas I-CAR committee, which means that he’s heavily involved in serving the local body shop industry and has put in hundreds of hours in service to this community. The Automall Autobody staff has also put in countless hours helping with setting up and administering classes for the teachers employed by I-CAR. Almost every month, a few classes are held at the Automall Autobody Training Center, which allows the shop to become exposed to various insurance agents and other body shop personnel who come to our training center to learn. Our commitment to educate ourselves and others is evidenced by the plethora of certifications we hold in our fields of expertise.
We’re working hard with a local vocational school and college to develop a shadowing and internship program that will allow us to give back to our community. Applied education is so important, and we believe we can assist students in getting a real experience at a body shop to not only apply what they’re learning in a real repair situation, but to also have the opportunity to become a part of the Automall Autobody Team. What these students will also realize is that at Automall Autobody we’re students for life; we’re always trying to find better ways to do business and we’re always studying the latest in repair techniques and technologies.
I recently read an article that described one night stands in the same light as a one time customer experience… For whatever reason body shops are trained to think that they’re only there to fix what’s broken and they don’t base their services around the customer.
This coming 2011 is going to be a shining year for Automall Autobody because we will learn about and understand our customer, and because we’ll maintain a constant focus on improving (I disagree with changing just for the sake of changing).
We plan on spending a little time this season thinking about what we can do for our customers, and then do something else that no other shop will…do it.

We’re so happy to have the past few years (est. 2007) under our belt and we’re certainly looking forward to many more. We just started an expansion project that will double our shop size and office space. Education, quality, organization and cleanliness are the key foci going into 2010, and we’ll eventually be benchmarked as a standard for these principles for the local auto body industry of Las Vegas and Henderson. Las Vegas auto body repair and Henderson auto body repair will change forever because of our consistent and simple approach to becoming the leader in auto body repair.

Automall Autobody is proud to have participated in the I-CAR Regional Frontlines Conference in San Jose, CA. The upcoming changes will make a big difference in the industry’s continuing knowledge and skill development. We can’t wait to get all of our employees in-line with the goals of I-CAR now that these changes are actually taking place. As a shop owner, I realize the importance of doing things the right way and we simply can’t afford not to have our technicians properly trained—and it’s I-CAR that makes this possible for a small shop like ours.

It’s great to know that Automall Autobody has the paint line that has been approved for use on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Most people recognize DuPont as a great paint, which is why DuPont purchased Spies Hecker awhile back in order to heighten their presence in the auto painting arena.

Often, people question body shops as to whether they are using factory paint or not. Auto body repair and paint shops in Las Vegas and Henderson use a wide array of paint manufacturers to get their jobs done. We’re proud to say that we use the manufacturer that “has the most [OEM] approvals of any paint producer.”

At Automall Autobody, the Las Vegas and Henderson body shop, our customers are given the choice of OEM or aftermarket. However, we often send back aftermarket parts for poor fit and still encourage OEM parts when a factory fit is imperative.
